We love working with Blue Ridge Honor Flight and are excited about the work that the schools have recently put into raising money.
Students from Henderson County Public Schools and Immaculata Catholic School raised more than $14,000 last month for BRHF, which is enough money to send at least 28 veterans on an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. in April to see their memorials. The trip costs roughly $500 per veteran, so these funds will go a long way toward expenses. Way to go, kids!

Yep! That's what has been collected so far to give out to the kids attending Trick or Treat Street on Tuesday, October 31st. The Summit team has been proud to help Historic Downtown Hendersonville get the word out to the kids and families in Henderson County. The event starts at 5pm with merchants opening their doors to young ghouls, goblins and trick or treaters of all sorts. There is always a costume contest (by age groups) with prizes. Registration for the contest begins at 4:30. Check out today's article in the Times News and get much more information about the event at DowntownHendersonville.org.
